As you all know, I have tons to tell you when I try to decide what to cook for you but this week I will keep it short. As we were shopping for this weekends events, we saw beautiful Roma tomatoes, fresh green beans, eggplants and tons of onions that were screaming Turkish cuisine. ​​Though not seasonal to Virginia, we could not resist. So this weeks menu is inspired by Turkish food and some of our favorite dishes that you might have tried before.

Did you know if everyone in the U.S. ate meatless one day a week, it would be the environmental equivalent of not driving 91 billion miles. Why not take it a step further and try eating vegan once a week. If every family in the United States vetoed meat and cheese just one day a week, it would create the environmental benefits of taking the family car off of the road for five full weeks.
