Don't judge a vegetable by it's color...

Don't judge a vegetable by it's color-  I know I always tell you to eat the rainbow.  Vibrant colored fruits and veg not only are appealing but also different color veg and fruits contain different types of nutrients.  But there is also the underappreciated category of white veg and fruit. According to research published inAdvances in Nutrition, researchers point out that many nutrients including phytochemicals that give fruits and veggies their health benefits are not always colorful. So even though several weeks has passed since Labor Day, some whites are good to keep at hand all year round.

Potatoes- contain more potassium than broccoli, spinach or bananas. Potassium helps keep our bones strong.

Cauliflower- helps fight cancer, boosts liver detoxification...

Onions- rich in antioxidants, may ease hay fever, eczema and food allergies

garlic- more benefits than you can imagine.....fights cancer and common cold, promotes heart health, acts as a natural antibiotic, helps clear skin......
