Immune Boosting Foods- I know we talk about this all the time now but it's that time of the year and with the added virus floating around, boosting our Immune system with food seems to be a no brainer.

Leafy greens such as kale, spinach, bok choy seem to always pop up on top of the list of foods rich in magnesium, which has been shown to playa role in how our bodies handle inflammation. It is said that inflammation can make it harder for your immune system to do its job fighting what it needs to fight.


Vitamin D also seems to play a role in fighting off colds and flu. Other than taking supplements and going out in the sun, foods, like fatty fish or UV-exposed mushrooms are a good source of this important vitamin.


Gut bacteria is also suggested to directly impact your immune function. So as stinky as fermented foods might get, the benefits are sure worth the pain. Try our vegan kimchi for a less stinky version.


Other foods on the list are ones I am sure you already know of and we have included on this week's menu include: Pomegranate, blueberries, red cabbage, citrus, bell peppers, garlic, ginger, goji berries, dried Jujubes, spinach, almonds, turmeric, shellfish, carrots.
